The Grand Bazar in Istanbul is a maze of alleys lined by little shops, crowded by tourists, all under a roof so you never see the sky and, in fact, can get easily lost.
Might as well get a cup of tea then.

Two perspectives on Taksim Square, Istanbul. It is the traffic hub of modern Istanbul, quite a distance away from the Old Town. When arriving at the airport I was puzzled that people wanted to sell me a “Taxi, taxi” to this square. I kept saying “no, I want a bus”. It was only later that I realized they were saying “Taksim”.

Today I had some time to shoot in the streets of Istanbul. Here are two rather artificial kinds of relationships.

Augsburg’s fair is called Plärrer (“noise-maker”) and takes place twice a year. We were able to visit it on an actually quite noise-free morning on its last and very sunny day.
